A Moment of Appreciation

I would just like to take a moment to appreciate the creativity behind the names of military operations. These are a few juicy ones:

Operation Sea Lion; Operation Desert Storm; Operation Autumn Clouds; Operation Dracula; Operation Birdseed; Operation Summer Rains; and, my personal favorite, Operation Paperclip (it just doesn’t get better than that)

In my opinion, the military analysts or strategists (or whoever it is that determines such things) should be admired and acknowledged for constructing these gems. Their senses of irony seem unparalleled with the wide array of nature-inspired titles. But, let’s face it, Operation Paperclip is just downright excellent.
